San Francisco-Las Vegas-Hoover Dam-Kingman, AZ
Much of the day was devoted to travel. SuperShuttle 6:30 a.m. to San Francisco Airport; Southwest flight #156 at 9:00 a.m. to Las Vegas; car rental at Las Vegas Airport 11:00 a.m; drove to Hoover Dam and then on to Kingman, AZ.
Arrived at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area about 1:00 p.m.
This photo of Hoover Dam was taken from the walkway of the new Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tilman Bridge.
Here's the welcoming sign for those wanting to walk across the bridge.
I walked across the bridge and back. It was quite windy and a bit frightening when looking down at Hoover Dam. But what a view!!
I took this photo of Hoover Dam from the center of the bridge walkway.
This is the pedestrian walkway on the bridge.
This photo shows both the walkway on the left and the roadway.
Here are four views of the bridge from different locations.
I went on a tour of Hoover Dam several years ago, so I headed for Kingman, AZ.
Checked into Roadway Inn on Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman, AZ about 6:00 p.m.
(I think Andy Devine was an actor in the1950's - I must look that up.)

I had dinner at jb's Family Restaurant. Now for a good night's sleep.
Tomorrow Phoenix and an A's game.
